The vineyard is located near Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley Appellation, Sonoma Valley. Dijon Clone dominates the planting. During fermentation, 30% went through malolactic fermentation to add a touch of creaminess.
The 2013 vintage had perfect climate conditions to create a spectacular fruit laced, but beautifully structured wine. It was a perfect climatic year to grow great Pinot Noir.
The near-by Pacific Ocean provides nightly fog rolling in to cool the air, allowing the grapes to rest and form beautiful acidity that ends up watering your mouth in anticipation of food & wine flavors. Aromatics express deep rich cassis, the flavors of ripe strawberries and raspberries, with a hint of smokiness and distinct minerality. Classic pinot flavors!
